The Data Protection Act applies to all companies keeping computer and manual files of customer and staff records.
As well as paper we have other types of confidential waste like computer discs, video tapes, account files and so on. Can you handle these?
We use large heavy-duty industrial shredding systems, which destroy anything from paper and magnetic media to off-spec products.
We produce confidential material in various parts of our site. How would you cope with this?
Our uniformed staff are used to working in a variety of premises and sites. We're happy to collect material from around your site and propose the best method of storage and collection.
How do you dispose of shredded materials?
We're committed to recycling shredded material wherever possible. Paper is baled and sent away for reprocessing whilst plastic and miscellaneous materials are sent to a power generation facility as fuel.
Why can't we use an office shredder?
Most office shredders are very slow, require high maintenance and, crucialy, you will not have any written proof that your material has beenshredded, which may be required by your customers or other stakeholders.
Do you provide on-site shredding service?
Yes, we're pleased to offer customers on-site destruction of their confidential materials.
How can we be sure our important company data doesn't fall into the wrong hands?
All our staff are security vetted to BS7858 standard so you can be sure anybody handling your confidential material has been properly checked. All staff comply to our Company Security Policy - copies of which are available on request. We have installed a live satellite tracking system on our vehicles. All material is offloaded inside a secure warehouse, protected by alarms and restricted entry system.
For added peace of mind, we also hold substantial insurance.
Does the process involve a lot of paperwork and administration?
Once you've committed to our service, there's very little paperwork. We ask for your initial signature on our contract and each collection certificate. You are then issued with a Certificate of Destruction when the material is destroyed. Payment for our service can be made by credit card, cheque or BACS.
